Russia Welcomes Direct Dialogue Between Armenia and Azerbaijan: Peskov

Russia welcomes the direct dialogue between Armenia and Azerbaijan, which is taking place today in Abu Dhabi. This was announced by Dmitry Peskov, the press secretary of the President of Russia.

“We have repeatedly stated at various levels that we welcome the swift conclusion of a peace treaty. The signing of a peace treaty will become a very important factor that will allow for increased predictability, stability, and peace in the region. We fully support this process,” he stated.

It is worth noting that Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan and Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev have been negotiating for nearly five hours. The main topic of the meeting is to resolve existing conflicts regarding the peace treaty with the aim of signing it by the end of the year.
