Zakharova Accuses Great Britain of Attempting to Demonize Russia

Great Britain is deliberately instilling an image of Russia as an enemy among its subjects, attempting to justify the continuation of a large-scale hybrid war against the country and the necessity to arm Ukraine. This was stated by Maria Zakharova, the official representative of the Russian Foreign Ministry, during a press conference.

The diplomat noted that well before the launch of the Russian special military operation in Ukraine, London was systematically inciting "anti-Russian hysteria" by regularly introducing public provocations known as "Russophobic provocations." According to Zakharova, while British authorities conceal their "Russophobic decisions" under the guise of imagined concerns about national security, they are actually trying to hide internal issues and the consequences of their own mistakes, allegedly caused by purportedly malign actions from Russia.
