The Recordings Are Edited, According to Bagrat's Lawyer
Since August of last year until June of this year, there has been a case formed as a result of wiretaps or other investigative actions, which, according to the Investigative Committee, has been deemed an illegal process starting from November 2024. This was announced at a press conference by the lawyer of Bagrat, Hovhannes Khudoyan.
“That is, until November of last year, the processes were legal, and afterwards they became illegal. This was stated by the lawyer of Bagrat during a press conference,” said Khudoyan.
A logical question arises here: why were legal processes wiretapped by law enforcement agencies? The answer is evident: in our times, any political process is accompanied by direct illegal intervention from the state apparatus. Illegal interventions occurred both during the pre-election period of the 2021 elections and subsequently during various municipal elections. Their purpose is to interfere in political processes or generate political processes,” Khudoyan noted.
According to him, the National Security Service reported in March that a crime was being prepared; however, the actual actions took place in June, which further proves that these processes are not motivated by criminal procedural purposes but rather by political processes. The lawyer added that the published recordings are clearly edited. He emphasized that the statement of the head of the Investigative Committee, that yes, they have been separated, but they are the segments that are relevant to the case, while the rest are everyday conversations, is questionable; if they are everyday conversations, then there is no necessity to keep them secret, let them be published so we can understand the context from which they are taken, whether they contain a complete thought or not, whether they are separated from conversations of the same time period or from different days.
