Iran's Nuclear Program Cannot Be Halted by Military Means, Says IAEA Director General

Iran's nuclear program cannot be halted by military means. This was stated by IAEA Director General Rafael Grossi in an interview with Rzeczpospolita.

“Iran is a very large country with a serious economy, significant industrial potential, and technical capabilities. All of this cannot be eliminated by military means... Iranians can always hide something... Therefore, we will never solve this problem by force,” he noted.

According to the IAEA Director General, this can only be achieved through an agreement that addresses all major issues but, most importantly, ensures a very strict monitoring system. “Many in Israel and the United States are skeptical on this matter. But I always tell them that under such conditions, it would be extremely difficult for Iranians to develop nuclear weapons without inspectors noticing,” he added.
