How Can a Person's Soul Become So Evil? Rubinyan
Vice President Ruben Rubinyan expressed surprise at Archbishop Bagrat Galstanyan's remarks regarding "killing people and providing compensation to families." He noted that it is shocking for an Armenian Apostolic Church bishop to make such statements.
"This is a textbook example of how a person's soul can become so evil that they say, 'kill, kill,' while they themselves have turned into something worse. Killing is not a criminal law category, but they will still be held accountable for their criminal actions," said Rubinyan.
According to Rubinyan, those who support terrorists justify their actions by claiming it is done for a noble cause. "Supporting some form of violence in the name of higher goals presents a problem. If everyone thinks that violence is justified for some noble purpose, and everyone has a noble goal, it will lead to total chaos. For instance, imagine what would happen if I, along with the entire CEC, thought that you all should be eliminated for the sake of a higher goal. What would happen? Is that a good thing? Of course not; it’s a bad thing. The only noble goal is legality and the will of the people. If you want to earn the people's vote, go to elections, resort to peaceful actions; who is holding you back?" he stated.
