When Was the Terrorist Attack Planned? Prosecutor Reveals New Details
The Vice President of the National Assembly, Ruben Rubinyan, inquired from the Prosecutor General about when Archbishop Bagrat Galstanyan and his associates planned to carry out a terrorist attack and seize power.
Anna Vardapetyan stated that the timelines had been periodically changed, but the actual actions were planned for September 2025 and were linked to a religious holiday. Starting from November 2024, they aimed to implement steps in a manner not permitted by the constitution, and the activities continued until they were neutralized.
The investigation is also focused on Galstanyan's declaration regarding his contacts with various foreign power centers. “If you have noticed, in the documents circulating in the press and presented to you, there are data regarding certain external influences or communications with individuals from other countries, but these still need to be subject to investigation,” she added.
