The National Assembly Adopts Provisions Allowing for the Nationalization of Electric Networks
In the National Assembly of Armenia, a vote was held, and the package of legislative proposals introduced by the parliamentary faction of the Civil Contract Party was adopted in the first reading. This package includes amendments to the law on "Regulation of Public Services" and changes to the "Energy" law.
National Assembly President Alen Simonyan announced that absent MPs from the Civil Contract faction, including Arthur Hovhannisyan, Maria Karapetyan, Lilit Minasyan, Sargis Khandanyan, and Arsen Torosyan, have provided their votes in favor. A total of 65 MPs voted for the legislation, while 30 voted against, with no abstentions.
