No Criminal Case, It Is Legal Absurdity: Lawyer on Samvel Karapetyan's Proceedings

Samvel Karapetyan's case has a peculiar characteristic: there is no criminal case at all. This was stated by lawyer Aram Vardevanyan while discussing the criminal proceedings initiated against Samvel Karapetyan.

He pointed out that Karapetyan is accused of an act that implies a clear call for the usurpation of power, whereas there is no such call at all. “This is legal absurdity. But of course, absurdity has its roots, where this absurdity was formed. We all remember well what began to happen on June 17, 2025,” said the lawyer.

He further added that it is evident that all of this was created due to Samvel Karapetyan expressing his views on the situation surrounding our church and the Mother See. “This is also an axiomatic truth. Moreover, the investigator agrees with that,” Vardevanyan stressed.
