Armen Charachyan Denied Exit at Zvartnots Airport
At Zvartnots Airport, border guards did not allow Armen Charachyan to cross the border, citing that his exit was supposedly restricted, despite a court decision having long been sent to the Armenian Ministry of Internal Affairs to lift the limitations on his free movement. This was reported by lawyer Erik Aleksanyan.
“As of June 23, the police assured us that the restriction in the SЕКТ system had been lifted. This is sheer legal nihilism. I demand a written clarification from the Ministry of Internal Affairs on this matter. Armen Charachyan was supposed to travel to Madrid to participate in the World Congress of Armenian Physicians, where he was to give a speech as a member of the administrative council of the conference. However, as of now, this issue remains unresolved. This is a serious blow to Armenia’s reputation. How long can this go on...,” wrote the lawyer.
