US Calls on Several European Countries

Washington must work to prohibit all programs for the enrichment of uranium and the development of ballistic missiles to prevent the Islamic Republic from developing nuclear weapons. This is stated in a draft resolution presented to the House of Representatives, reports RIA Novosti.

"The House of Representatives supports the policy objective of preventing Iran from acquiring nuclear weapons through a permanent, verifiable ban on all activities related to uranium enrichment, weapon development, and systems for the delivery of ballistic missiles," the document states.

Additionally, the text calls on the United Kingdom, France, and Germany to exert diplomatic pressure on Tehran to de-escalate tensions and to resume negotiations, coordinating with the United States to ensure a sanctions regime.
