The Fantastic Country Became a Geopolitical Battleground: Samvel Karapetyan

Samvel Karapetyan has issued a statement via the Defense Council. “What the current authorities have accomplished is turning our small but fantastic country into a center of geopolitical struggle. Surrounded by hostile countries and demonstrating exceptional political ignorance, they hastily attempted to break free from Russia. In pursuing this, they led the country in all directions through various trials, solely to 'appease' their main ally. They began to shout for the European Union, without understanding that they were not and are not awaited there. They even considered the vilayetization scenario for our country, failing to realize that even that would not be granted to them.

By begging for peace, they receive daily demands for concessions under the guise of negotiations, but with more severe new conditions, as the opponent's appetite is to apply the same scenario from Artsakh to Armenia and make our Armenia a place for their resettlement.

Under these circumstances, we will have an additional 3 million refugees spread across the world. Simultaneously, they send messengers to their main ally, trying to convince them that they are ready for any humiliation, just to make them believe that they are loyal. They attempt to engage in games but do not understand the human qualities of that country: that for it, the stance or positions of the leaders of allied countries do not matter, but rather trustworthiness, predictability, and honesty.

Today, the main advantage of countries like ours can be the status of an honest and reliable partner that defends its own interests, and its absence has led to the weakening of our country's sovereignty, rather than its strengthening. By shouting about sovereignty everywhere and every day, they transformed our country into a tool for strengthening someone else's sovereignty. Together, with our own strength, we will restore our sovereignty and regain our reputation as a reliable ally.
