The President of Belarus, Alexander Lukashenko, announced a military situation in the country during a meeting with newly appointed local self-government leaders. Local media report this.

The Belarusian leader emphasized the need to achieve personnel discipline and results.

“Listen, today the situation is military. The people must pray for this government so that we are still somehow holding on. As soon as problems arise internally, they will escalate,” he said.
