Arrests of Azerbaijanis Continue in Voronezh Region
Arrests of Azerbaijanis and large-scale searches are ongoing in the Voronezh region. The Alexeyevsky market in Voronezh has long been under the scrutiny of security forces. Local residents regularly complain about the behavior of the immigrants working in the market and the unsanitary conditions.
In mid-June, a group of immigrants blocked the road of a Russian truck driver. Following the searches, 42 foreigners were held administratively liable for violating migration legislation. Earlier, Azerbaijani brothers were arrested in Yekaterinburg, one of whom died on the spot.
