Armenia and EU Conclude Partnership Negotiations: Mirzoyan
Today, we jointly announced the commencement of consultations on security and defense between Armenia and the EU. This was stated by the Armenian Foreign Minister Ararat Mirzoyan.
“The start of consultations in the field of defense and security is a decisive step to align the scope of our cooperation with modern challenges and to exert additional efforts to overcome them. In this context, I want to emphasize the cooperation aimed at strengthening Armenia’s resilience and further developing democratic institutions, which also includes areas such as combating hybrid threats and disinformation.”
“In this regard, we have certainly highlighted the role of the EU's monitoring mission in Armenia during our discussions today and discussed the provision of support to Armenia under the European Peace Facility. Thirdly, I am pleased to note that Armenia and the EU have successfully concluded negotiations on a new partnership agenda. This is an ambitious document that will enrich and deepen the bilateral agenda between Armenia and the EU with new directions, while also promoting the effective implementation of the comprehensive and extended partnership agreement between Armenia and the EU.”
“Thus, today we confidently state that the relations between Armenia and the EU have never been as comprehensive and close as they are now,” said Mirzoyan.
