Azerbaijani MPs Will Not Travel to Moscow

The Deputy Speaker of the Milli Majlis, Ali Ahmedov, will lead a parliamentary delegation that will not participate in the 23rd session of the inter-parliamentary commission on cooperation between Azerbaijan and Russia, which was scheduled to take place in Moscow. This information was provided to Report by the press and public relations department of the Milli Majlis.

The reason for the cancellation of the visit is attributed to the demonstrative, targeted killings and acts of violence based on nationality that Russian law enforcement agencies have carried out against Azerbaijanis in Yekaterinburg without trial or investigation, as well as the recent systemic nature of such incidents.

Earlier, the Russian media outlet Е1.ru reported the arrest of 10 Azerbaijanis suspected of belonging to a criminal group responsible for several murders and attempted murders. One of them died during the detainment of the operatives.

Today, it has become known that several Azerbaijani suspects have been detained.
