We Strongly Condemn This Cowardly Terrorist Act: Azeri Foreign Ministry

The Azerbaijani Foreign Ministry has expressed condolences to Pakistan regarding the terrorist attack that occurred in that country.

"We extend our deepest condolences to the fraternal government and people of Pakistan, as well as to the families of the victims, following the horrific terrorist attack that took place on June 28th in the North Waziristan region, resulting in the deaths of at least 13 soldiers and injuries to many others, including civilians. We strongly condemn this cowardly terrorist act and reaffirm our unwavering position against all forms of terrorism that pose a serious threat to peace and security," the statement read.

It is worth noting that earlier reports indicated that a suicide bomber drove an explosive-laden vehicle into a convoy of soldiers in the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province of northwest Pakistan, resulting in at least 16 fatalities.
