Prime Minister Imposes Veto on His Own Use of the Term 'Parakanon'

Prime Minister of Armenia, Nikol Pashinyan, has made posts on social media, in one of which he mentioned that he is imposing a veto on his own use of the term ‘parakanon’ in vocabulary and speech.

I suggest reaching a public consensus that as of a specific date, we cease profanity and hybrid targeting in the public-political sphere and move exclusively to civilized and respectful debates, based only on verified facts. I propose July 1 as the start date for the consensus, and from now until July 5, I will impose a veto on my own use of the term ‘parakanon’ in vocabulary and speech. On July 5, I will share my impressions on the public and social media users' reactions to the proposal. Thank you.
