Can Azerbaijan Exploit the Current Situation and Attack Syunik? The Response of the Iranian Ambassador in Armenia

We are closely monitoring the developments in the region. This statement was made by the Iranian ambassador to Armenia, Mehdi Sobhani, during a press conference when asked whether Azerbaijan could take advantage of the conflict between Iran and Israel and attack the Syunik province of Armenia.

“We are in contact with the countries of the region, we convey our concerns to them, and we have very clear red lines, which we have proven we will not deviate from. We live in a world of probabilities, some of which may raise concerns. However, we are dealing with facts and remain vigilant. I believe that the government of Armenia is also following these developments. We have very close relations with the Armenian government and hold regular meetings. During this period, the behavior of countries will affect our future relations with them. Friends and enemies are known in difficult times,” Sobhani stated.
