Turkey Ready to Mediate in Israel-Iran Conflict Resolution

“Ankara is prepared to mediate for a swift end to the conflict with Israel and to return to negotiations regarding Iran's nuclear program,” stated Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan during a phone conversation with Iranian official Masoud Pezeshkian, as reported by the Turkish leader’s office.

“President Erdoğan noted that he has had several communications with foreign leaders concerning the conflict between Israel and Iran, and that Turkey is ready to assume the role of mediator to facilitate a quick resolution of the conflict and the resumption of talks on the nuclear program,” the statement read.

It is worth recalling that on June 13, Israel had launched an attack on Iran.
