Israel Strikes Iranian State Television; Casualties Reported

Israel has launched a missile strike on the main building of Iran's state television, as reported by various media outlets in May.

Prior to the targeting, Israeli Defense Minister Israel Katz had warned that Iran's state television and radio would 'soon disappear.' Meanwhile, Israel issued evacuation orders for residents in the Tehran neighborhood housing the broadcaster.

Iranian media report that a fire broke out following the strike. Some sources indicate that between 16 and 18 television staff members have been killed.
