Employee Incorrectly Included Request for Metal Sheets for Roofs: Kostanyan

The spokesperson for the Mayor of Yerevan, Haik Kostanyan, made a post on his Facebook page responding to an action conducted today by blogger Arthur Chakhoyan, particularly regarding the words expressed about "corruption revelations" during the event.

“On February 23, 2023, Arthur Chakhoyan applied to the head of the Nor Nork administrative district to include the renovation of the entrance of his residential building in the current renovation program. The administrative district replied that such work falls within the powers of the housing association, but if possible, the renovation of the entrance could be included in future programs. According to the initial clarification, the application mentioned by the district employee was mistakenly included in the list for providing metal sheets for building roofs. As a result, the administrative district contacted Chakhoyan and informed him that he could come and receive the metal sheets. On June 14, 2025, Chakhoyan received these sheets, committing to renovate the roof within 30 days as stipulated.

A natural question arises: why did the blogger take the metal sheets if he claims he had already renovated the roof with his own funds? Or was it perhaps a convenient opportunity to make yet another "corruption revelation"?

I also inform you that a service investigation has been appointed, and the relevant employee will at least receive a severe reprimand,” he wrote.
