Putin and Trump Hold Phone Conversation

Putin and Trump have had a 50-minute phone conversation, reported Russian President's aide Ushakov. They discussed the escalating situation in the Middle East. Putin condemned Israel's military operations against Iran. He informed Trump about his phone conversations with the Iranian president and the Israeli prime minister the day before.

Putin reminded Trump of Russia's proposal to find mutually acceptable agreements regarding Iran's nuclear dossier. Trump assessed the situation in the Middle East as very concerning. The presidents did not rule out returning to the negotiation process concerning Iran's nuclear program.

The Russian president declared Russia's willingness to act as a mediator between Israel and Iran. The US president described Israel's strikes against Iran as effective.
