Iran Launches Missile Strikes Against Israel Throughout the Night
Iran has responded to Israel's attack with a series of powerful strikes. Here’s what is known at this hour.
The Iranian permanent representative to the UN stated that Israel's assault on June 13 was equivalent to a declaration of war. Tehran has conducted at least four waves of missile strikes against Israel overnight. The targets included more than 150 sites, including airbases housing American F-15, F-16, and F-30 fighter jets, as well as military-industrial facilities.
Iranian authorities reported that dozens of missiles successfully hit their intended targets. The missiles struck the Israeli Ministry of Defense building in Tel Aviv multiple times, according to IRNA.
An Iranian missile also landed in a residential area in the suburbs of Tel Aviv. Prime Minister Netanyahu has taken refuge and is assessing the situation from there, CNN reports. As a result of Iran's retaliatory strikes towards Israel, at least 63 people have been injured, and one has been killed.
