NSS Confirms Location of Two Minors from Syunik Found in Azerbaijan

The National Security Service (NSS) has confirmed that two minors from the Syunik region, who were previously lost, are now in the Republic of Armenia.

"In addition to the statement issued today, we inform you that the minors from the community of Teg in the Syunik region, who had went missing, have been found and are currently in the Republic of Armenia. Further details will be provided later," the NSS reported.

It should be reminded that earlier, the NSS had issued a statement indicating that two minors from the Syunik region had gone astray and ended up in Azerbaijani territory.

According to the agency's information, the residents of Teg, Syunik, Karen Armeni Jhangiryan (born June 27, 2007) and Andrey Armeni Gyagunts (born January 13, 2008) found themselves in Azerbaijani territory due to getting lost near the village of Aravus in the Syunik region at around 01:20 on June 6, 2025.

The NSS had stated that all necessary measures are being taken to determine the whereabouts of the citizens and ensure their safe return.
