Lavrov's Deputy to be Appointed Ambassador in Turkey
Russia's Deputy Foreign Minister Sergey Vershinin is set to be appointed as the ambassador to Turkey in the near future. This was reported today by the Moscow-based newspaper Komersant, citing sources within the Russian Foreign Ministry.
Vershinin has held the position of Deputy to Sergey Lavrov since 2018. Prior to this, he served as the head of the Middle East and North Africa department.
