Russia Strikes Ukraine with Missile Attack, Casualties Reported

Russian troops have launched a missile strike on a training unit of the Ukrainian Ground Forces. As of 12:50 PM Kyiv time, at least 12 fatalities and more than 60 injuries have been reported, according to Ukrainian Pravda.

It has been reported that, according to Vitaly Sarancev, spokesperson for the Ukrainian Ground Forces, preliminary information indicates that Russian forces used 'Iskanders' in the attack. He stated, 'At the time the air alert was declared, the entire personnel was in shelters, except for those who may not have reached there in time. Initial data suggests that it was an 'Iskander,' but final details will be available once experts examine the impact site.'

Sarancev emphasized, 'We stress that there was no formation or mass gathering of personnel. After the air alarm signal was declared, most of the personnel were in shelters. The injured are receiving necessary quality medical assistance.'
