What Differentiates the Church from Chulan: Taron Chakhoyan

The Deputy Chief of Staff to the Prime Minister of Armenia, Taron Chakhoyan, has shared photographs of the St. Gayane Church in Echmiadzin on his Facebook page along with a written statement:

“Those making the latest insults from the status of the Chulan leader may perhaps explain with the same mastery what this is and how it differs from Chulan. The mission of the priests responding to the Prime Minister, with their sharp teeth, is to provide solutions to the church's problems, not to recite political speeches. Instead of attending to their pastoral duty, they are engaged in politics, demanding the resignation of one Prime Minister while delineating borders with another. Consequently, we have the same issues in churches that the Prime Minister has raised concerns about. Politically sacred figures, open a party and propose a Prime Minister from your ranks, if, of course, your candidate is not the sacred Rob,” wrote Chakhoyan.
