Erdogan on the Zangezur Corridor: Hopeful Iran Will Support

We want to see peace and tranquility in the South Caucasus. This was stated by President Recep Tayyip Erdogan, according to Anadolu Agency.

"The Zangezur Corridor is not only a land route between Azerbaijan and Nakhchivan, but also a new integration line that extends through Turkey to the Turkic world. The opening of this corridor in the near future will strengthen the transportation and energy infrastructure of the South Caucasus. We expect our neighbor Iran to support these steps, which will serve the peace and development of our region. Every step, every opened door and corridor will bring economic benefits and, ultimately, bring countries closer together," said the Turkish president.
