Negotiations Between Ukraine and Russia May Be Held in Switzerland

The second phase of negotiations aimed at resolving the conflict between Ukraine and the Russian Federation may take place in Switzerland. This has been reported by 'Страна.ua'.

Vladimir Zelensky has confirmed that Switzerland is being considered as a venue for negotiations with the Russian Federation. Earlier, Russia's Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov stated that an announcement regarding a new round of negotiations between Moscow and Kyiv would be made soon.

It is noteworthy that the first meeting between representatives of Moscow and Kyiv occurred on May 16 in Istanbul after a three-year hiatus. The parties agreed to conduct a large-scale exchange of prisoners, with a ratio of 1000 for 1000, and to present a vision for future ceasefire opportunities.

During the negotiations, Kyiv requested a meeting of state leaders. Moscow, in turn, has stated that it would consider Ukraine's request.

The large-scale exchange of prisoners has already been completed. Currently, Moscow is preparing a draft memorandum regarding a future peace treaty.
