Russia and Ukraine Conduct Large-Scale Prisoner Exchange

Russia and Ukraine have conducted a large-scale exchange of prisoners of war. This was announced by U.S. President Donald Trump. As part of the exchange, 270 military personnel and 120 civilians have returned to Russia, according to the Russian Ministry of Defense.

The U.S. leader congratulated Kyiv and Moscow on the successful exchange. He also inquired whether this could lead to a larger resolution in the context of the Ukrainian conflict. Previously, the exchange had been framed as a '1000 for 1000' formula.
