Is It a Great Heroism to Sit for a Year, or Are the Authorities Advertising Me? Says Sargsyan

In response to a journalist's observation that, according to Kocharian's associates, in 2018 they "rejected" Serzh Sargsyan but imprisoned Robert Kocharian, the third president reacted, saying: "So, what is it? Is it a great heroism to sit for a year? My colleagues, who have been sitting or have sat for many years, including Armen Ashtoyan, who has surpassed two years already. So, the fact that I have been hanging around the doors of the courts for years, what does that mean, are the authorities advertising me?" Sargsyan stated.

While discussing the process of expressing no confidence in the Prime Minister, Serzh Sargsyan noted that they support the idea based on the following principles: "We, the opposition, have been stating for at least five years that the continued existence of today’s rulers is detrimental to the interests of the country. What happened that now they say, ‘No, let’s wait another year until the elections come?’ You—no, but people my age know that there are many cases in recent history where we have arrived at events that, according to many, were very unlikely, but ended in success," he said.
