Harvard University to Lose Major Grants
The U.S. Department of Health and Human Services is terminating federal grants amounting to $60 million allocated to Harvard University. This was reported by Reuters.
The Trump administration accused the university of considering the ethnic background of students during the review of their applications and of exhibiting discrimination against Jews. The administration linked this to a pro-Palestinian student movement.
"Due to Harvard University's long-standing failure in combating anti-Semitism and racial discrimination, the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services is ending several multi-year grants," the statement read.
