This Week Will Be Crucial for Ukraine

This week will play a decisive role in the negotiations for the resolution of the Ukraine conflict. Ursula von der Leyen, the head of the European Commission, stated this in Rome. Her words are quoted by the EU press service.

"Now, of course, it is important that we advance the situation, and I believe that next week will be crucial in this regard," the EU announcement reads.

Earlier, U.S. President Donald Trump wrote on the Truth Social network that he will have a conversation with Russian President Vladimir Putin on May 19. Among the topics, the U.S. president mentioned issues related to Ukrainian resolution and trade. The head of the Washington administration added that after his talk with the Russian president, he will converse with Vladimir Zelensky and the leaders of NATO countries.
