Russian Foreign Ministry Discusses Lavrov's Upcoming Visit to Yerevan
From May 20-21, Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov will be visiting Yerevan on a working trip. This was reported by the Russian Foreign Ministry.
Meetings are planned with the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Armenia Ararat Mirzoyan, Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan, and President Vahagn Khachaturyan.
“The heads of foreign policy agencies will exchange substantive ideas on regional security issues, including the prospects for Armenian-Azerbaijani and Armenian-Turkish normalization processes,” the Russian Foreign Ministry's statement said.
Moscow expects that the visit will contribute to strengthening political and inter-agency dialogue between Russia and Armenia and will lead to an increase in mutual understanding and the identification of mutually acceptable solutions on issues of interest to both sides.
