Positive Developments in Armenia and Azerbaijan Relations: CSTO Secretary General

The Collective Security Treaty Organization (CSTO) expects that a peace agreement will be signed between Armenia and Azerbaijan as soon as possible. This was announced by CSTO Secretary General Imangali Tasmagambetov, according to TASS.

“There are certain positive movements in the Caucasus. It concerns the agreement between the Republic of Armenia and the Republic of Azerbaijan on the conclusion of negotiations and the text of an inter-state document. We hope for the signing of the document as soon as possible and expect that its implementation will pave the way for peace and stability in the South Caucasus,” he said during a session of the CSTO Parliamentary Assembly Council.
