His Greatest Achievement is Being the Husband of a Famous Singer: Simonyan

The President of the National Assembly, Alen Simonyan, assures that the behavior of the 'Armenia' faction member Levon Kocharyan will have political consequences.

“What Mr. Kocharyan's son has allowed himself must have political consequences, and it will, let no one doubt that,” he said in a conversation with reporters.

When reminded that Levon Kocharyan warned he would expel him from the position of NA President, and that it would be very painful given his high standing, Alen Simonyan responded, “We need to understand who he is; apart from being the husband of a famous singer and the son of a murderer and an unelected country leader, who is he? I want to understand.”

“Who is he? He is nobody; his greatest personal achievement is being the husband of a famous singer. When he realizes who he is, then he will be able to boast,” noted Simonyan.

The NA President admitted to having very sharp statements but emphasized that there is a line he would never cross. “If I cross that line, I will find myself in a worse situation. He is an inexperienced young man; he just came when I was not in the country. But he will come back to the hall again, won't he?” said Simonyan.
