Woman Dies in Departure Area of Sharm El Sheikh Airport

A woman has died in the departure area of Sharm El Sheikh Airport in Egypt after an advertising panel fell on her. This information was reported by Aibek Smadiyarov, the official representative of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Kazakhstan.

The deceased was a citizen of Kazakhstan, and two of her compatriots also sustained minor injuries, said Smadiyarov. He added that contact has already been established with the relatives of the deceased.

According to the representative of the Republic’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the Egyptian Minister of Civil Aviation has taken the incident under his “personal control.” A commission has been sent to the scene, and investigative measures are underway.

It was reported that the advertising panel fell on two women during the landing of a flight from Astana. One of them died on the spot, while the other victim sustained cuts.
