Severe Hail Damage to Agriculture: Assessment of Losses Underway

Hailstorms have occurred in Ararat, Armavir, Aragatsotn, and other regions. This was stated by the Minister of Economy Gevorg Papoyan during a conversation with journalists after a government meeting.

“Previously, I was in the Ararat region, and on Saturday I will also be in the Aragatsotn region. Currently, working groups are actively collaborating with regional administrations, communities, and the ministry to assess the damages. Afterward, we will make the appropriate decisions and understand how we can assist our citizens to ensure that the pace of sustainable development in our agriculture is not hindered. We are proposing another solution; henceforth, the government will subsidize 50 percent of the anti-hail nets for all communities in the Republic,” said Papoyan.
