NATO's Hooligans Should Stop Yelling, the Ball and Chair Are on Our Side: Zakharova

The official representative of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Russia, Maria Zakharova, emphasized that the truth is on Russia's side. The diplomat made this statement in response to the words of Western politicians regarding the Ukrainian issue, as reported by TASS.

“So, is the ball or the chair? Not only the ball is on our side, but the truth as well. The problem is that, no matter how much the hooligans from NATO yell from the sidelines, a national team is needed on the field to hit the goal, which is currently revolving around the microphone stand,” the diplomat stated.

Additionally, Russian President Vladimir Putin has proposed to the Kyiv authorities to resume direct negotiations without preconditions, which were halted in 2022. Putin also mentioned that Russia has previously declared ceasefires multiple times, which have been consistently violated by the Kyiv authorities, including the recent three-day ceasefire established during the celebrations of the 80th anniversary of Victory in the Great Patriotic War.

In turn, Vladimir Zelensky announced his intention to visit Istanbul on Thursday. This announcement followed after U.S. President Donald Trump called on Ukraine to immediately agree to the negotiations proposed by Putin.
