India’s Armed Forces Issue Statement

The armed forces of Pakistan and India have decided to continue confidence-building measures by lowering the level of combat readiness. This was announced by a representative of the Indian armed forces.

“In addition to the understanding reached by high-ranking military representatives of India and Pakistan on May 10, it has been decided to continue confidence-building measures by reducing the level of combat readiness,” he stated.

Earlier, Pakistan's First Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar announced that India and Pakistan had agreed to extend the ceasefire regime until May 18.
