Driver's Licenses to Be Digitized: New System to Be Established

Driver's licenses in Armenia will be digitized. This was announced by the Minister of Internal Affairs, Arpine Saroyan, stating that citizens can apply and receive a digital version in addition to their current driver's licenses.

“The existence of a digital driver's license will be sufficient within the territory of the Republic of Armenia, and there will be no issues,” said the minister, emphasizing that outside the country, one must possess a traditional driver's license.

According to her, the police are technically equipped and can quickly identify citizens. The same applies to the vehicle registration certificate, or the technical passport.
