Armenian Nuclear Power Plant Operations to Cease from May 15

The operations of the Armenian Nuclear Power Plant will be halted from midnight on May 15 for planned maintenance, this time for a duration longer than the standard period. This was announced by the First Deputy Director of the Armenian NPP, Mkhitar Vardanyan, during a visit to the facility by Russian Ambassador Sergey Kopirkin.

“The works will last 60 days, as current processes will be complemented by the replacement of certain automation and safety systems at the plant,” Vardanyan stated.
