Azerbaijan to Produce New UAVs in Turkey

Bayraktar Teknoloji Azerbaijan LLC has obtained the status of a resident at the Sumgayit Chemical Industrial Park. Within the premises of the industrial park, the company will implement a project for the "Production of Unmanned Aerial Vehicles."

It is noteworthy that in 2023, a memorandum of understanding was signed between the Azerbaijani Ministry of Defense and the Turkish company Baykar, outlining cooperation on establishing joint production of unmanned aerial vehicles in Azerbaijan.

Turkish-made Bayraktar drones were extensively used by Azerbaijan during the 2020 Nagorno-Karabakh war.
