How the Night Passed on the India-Pakistan Line of Control
The night along the Line of Control between India and Pakistan in Jammu and Kashmir passed quietly without any incidents, announced Colonel Sunil Barthwal, spokesman for the Indian Ministry of Defence, on Monday.
“There have been no reports of any incidents; this is the first quiet night in recent days,” he said.
On the night of May 7, the Indian Ministry of Defence reported that in response to a terrorist attack in Pahalgam, they had carried out Operation 'Sindhur,' targeting “terrorist infrastructures” located in Pakistan. The department stated that no military installations in Pakistan were attacked during the operation.
In turn, Pakistani authorities claimed that India had attacked five locations in Pakistan, resulting in at least 31 deaths and 57 injuries. The Pakistani Ministry of Foreign Affairs stated that Islamabad has the right to respond accordingly.
