Elysée Palace Comments on What Macron Hidden

The white package that French President Emmanuel Macron hid on the train heading to Ukraine is simply a napkin and does not contain drugs, reported the Elysée Palace, commenting on the footage that circulated online yesterday and sparked widespread discussion, according to TASS.

On May 10, AP released a video from the train, in which Macron, German Chancellor Friedrich Merz, and UK Prime Minister Keir Starmer were heading to Kyiv. They were seated around a table when journalists began filming the politicians. At that moment, Macron took a crumpled white package from the table, while Merz grabbed another object.

After the footage was published, comments emerged online suggesting that Macron could have been hiding cocaine in that package.

'When European unity becomes uncomfortable, misinformation goes so far that an ordinary napkin takes on the appearance of drugs. These fake news stories are spread by France's enemies both abroad and within the country. We must remain vigilant against manipulations,' stated officials at the Elysée Palace.
