Details on Negotiations Between India and Pakistan
India will negotiate with Pakistan only on a military level. There will be no political contacts. This was reported by Hindustan Times.
"The only negotiations that will take place between India and Pakistan will be between the commanders of military operations, and there will be no direct political negotiations," sources told the publication.
According to reports, there has been no communication between Indian Prime Minister's National Security Advisor Ajit Doval and External Affairs Minister Subrahmanyam Jaishankar and their Pakistani counterparts.
Indian authorities believe that there is nothing to discuss with Islamabad regarding the Kashmir issue, other than the return of territories they deem to be "illegally occupied" to India, and discussions on this matter should take place directly.
