Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky has announced that he will personally wait for President Putin in Istanbul on Thursday, following Donald Trump’s call for urgent negotiations with Russia. This was reported by RIA Novosti.

“From tomorrow, we expect a ceasefire—complete and lasting—that will provide the necessary basis for diplomacy. There is no sense in continuing the killings. And I will wait for Putin on Thursday in Turkey. Personally. I hope this time the Russians will not look for excuses as to why they cannot [attend],” said the Ukrainian president.
