We Must Be Taken Into Account, Otherwise They Will Regret It: Aliyev

The President of Azerbaijan, Ilham Aliyev, stated at the opening ceremony of the Mugham Center in Akna that all those who disregard Azerbaijan must take it into account, or they will regret it. Azerbaijani media reported on the remarks.

He referred to the victory in the 44-day war as a common victory of the Azerbaijani people and pointed out that Azerbaijan has thus demonstrated its historical greatness to the entire world.

"It is no coincidence that even those forces and countries that have an adversarial attitude towards us know that we are a deserving people, a people worthy of respect, and they must take us into account. Those who do not consider us today, at least in our region, will regret it tomorrow," he remarked.

According to him, during the war, Azerbaijan clearly understood who was supporting Armenia and what forces were behind it, but that did not deter them.
