Pakistan Violates Ceasefire with Shelling and Airstrikes
Just hours after reaching an immediate ceasefire agreement, Pakistan has violated the peace accord, reports the Hindustan Times.
According to media reports, the Pakistani armed forces conducted artillery shelling and airstrikes in several border regions, including Barmer in Rajasthan and Baramulla in Jammu and Kashmir.
Earlier, U.S. President Donald Trump had announced a ceasefire between the countries and stated that negotiations were being mediated by Washington.
Both countries had agreed to halt military operations on land, in the air, and at sea. However, India declared that the agreement regarding the waters of the Indus River would be suspended and that the visa ban for Pakistani citizens would remain in effect.
