India's MoD Accuses Pakistan of Using Turkish Drones
India's Ministry of Defense has accused Pakistan of utilizing Turkish drones. This was reported by 'India Today'. According to the announcement, only a few hours after successfully thwarting a large-scale drone attack targeting 36 military and civilian sites by Pakistan, authorities confirmed that the UAVs were likely Turkish-made Asisguard Songar armed drones.
"We intercepted those drones using both kinetic and non-kinetic means. The probable objective was to test our air defense systems and gather intelligence data. An examination of the debris is currently being conducted. Preliminary reports indicate that the drones are Turkish manufactured Asisguard Songar models," stated Colonel Sofia Kureshin.
She revealed that the Indian air defense responded swiftly, shooting down the majority of the drones before they could inflict significant damage. The day before, India's Joint Chiefs of Staff had reported that Indian military bases in Jammu and Kashmir had come under attack from Pakistan.
On the night of May 7, the Indian Ministry of Defense announced that in response to a terrorist attack in Pahalgam, it carried out Operation 'Sindur', targeting "terrorist infrastructure" within Pakistan. The agency stated that no Pakistani military facilities were attacked during the operation.
Simultaneously, Pakistani authorities claimed that India struck five locations in Pakistan, resulting in at least 31 fatalities and 57 injuries. The Pakistani Foreign Ministry has declared that Islamabad reserves the right to respond appropriately.
It is noteworthy that on the night of May 7, India targeted 4 sites in Pakistan and 5 in Kashmir as part of Operation 'Sindur'.
